CD & Flash Drive reader is dead

Hello,
I had some repairs to my desk top a while back and when I was reloading some programs my PC quit reading the disks. So I tried a flash drive and that was a no go too.

I had some repairs to my desk top a while back and when I was reloading some programs my PC quit reading the disks. So I tried a flash drive and that was a no go too.

Look in device manager for errors on the devices.
Also look in event viewer.
