I need a motherboard for my new I7 920 build and prefer Asus, Gigabyte and EVGA.

Cost is an issue and I need a mobo with following in mind:

1. I would like to overclock the 920 to approximately 3.6/3.8 ghz.

2. I will start with one ati 5850 card and will purchase another one later for crossfire when prices drop. Several Newegg reviews mentioned that some motherboards don't have enough space between cards so i definitely need a mobo with enough space if you think that is really important.
Moreover, the motherboard needs to have 2 pci express x16 slots, many evga mobo's don't.

I would like to stick with either asus, gigabyte or evga.

What is the difference between different P6T's?

They all seem to have at least 2 pci express x16 slots. Do they all have enough space for two 5850's?

Are there any BIOS differences or are there any other disadvantages with regards overclocking an 920 to 3.6/3.8 ghz?

Will a Scythe MUGEN 2 cooler interfere with their design or do you recommend another cooler with better quiet/performance ratio?

I am looking at the following P6T motherboards:

ASUS P6T SE LGA

ASUS P6T LGA

ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131403

ASUS P6T Deluxe V2

In addition, the same questions apply to the other boards i looked at:

EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR LGA
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131365

EVGA E758-TR 3-Way SLI
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813188046

EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813188039

GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128375

GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128362

Again, please keep in in mind that cost is an issue but i am willing to cut corners if is worth it and there is a valid reason.

All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

As far as the Asus and Gigabyte boards, they are all GREAT boards and will all overclock nicely, it just depends on what features you want to pay for on the board.

The consensus favorite is the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
