Hi,

We are an organisation who have a staff restaurant and and planning to install a couple of computers for staff to access internet.

It will be free access, no pre-paid etc.

We will be using Windows 7 and IE8,

What will be the best way to configure IE8 so users don't or can't change settings? download files/programs etc. I mean a complete lock down on the PC's.

We just want to user to browse the web only.

Thanks

Hi mbakrania

I’d recommend setting up a guest account. Guests cannot make changes, but they can browse the internet and shut down the computer. Here is a blurb regarding this http://bit.ly/4dypeG . It’s a good place to start.

Hope this helps
