Bios is displayed, however, after bios I get the infamous black screen of death. Windows obviously doesnt recognize my card. However, I cant get any display period with my onboard if my video card is connected.

Note, windows works fine when I dont have the card connected to comp.

Is this a known working card (does it work in another system)? Is it new or old? Do you have the PCI-E power connected to the card?

Try to get to the boot options menu using f8 and boot with "enable vga mode" or "low resolution mode" and then try to install the driver
