There is virtually NO manfacturer that would agree with you, or that
would consider a unit with a small number of bad pixels "defective".
The definition of "small number" varies, but I've never seen it be less
than about 3 or 4, and in some cases I've seen it as high as 8-12 [in a
monitor still under warranty].

[If the dead pixels are adjacent or very close to each other, then they
may be considered a defect covered by warranty.]
