can some one help me out, so far im stuck to looking at parts online havent found a good store yet.

im looking for a motherboard that is going to be able to handle holding the xfx 5970 black edition card.

the processor will be an AMD phenom ii x6 1090t back edition 125w.

to start its not going to be water cooled so its going to have a big heavy cooler on the cpu. iv looked at a few and they looked flimsy and with all this weight i dont want it to snap if i bump into it and the graphics card wiggles.

the case will either be a antec 1200 or a coolermaster haf 932 so it can be as big as needed. im realy looking for brands im not asking for ppl to build my computer for me but if theres only a few MB up to the task then ill take specific models.

cool so one of the 2 i was looking at will work. the only differences i saw between these 2 where the
pci express 2.0x16 slots.

2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16 (PCIEX16_1, PCIEX16_2) (Note 1)
1 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x8 (PCIEX8) (Note 2)
1 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x4 (PCIEX4)

2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16 (PCIEX16_1, PCIEX16_2) (Note 1)
2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x8 (PCIEX8_1, PCIEX8_2) (Note 1)
2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x4 (PCIEX4_1, PCIEX4_2) (Note 2)

can some one tell me in lamins terms what that means. how either would work with 1 card or 2 cards.
everything else seams to be exactly the same on these 2 cards besides the $50 price difference.

and for ram it says dual channel ddr3 1866(oc) /1333/1066 does the 1866oc mean a 1333 thats oc to that or what cause the only twin 4g packs i can find (for 8g total) are either 1333 (pc3 10660) or 1600 (pc3 12800).

i dont see any pc3 options on my mb nor do i see 1600.

The difference between all that PCI-E lines is the rate data transference.

For PCI-E x16 2.0 @x16, the rate is 8000MB/s, for PCI-E x16 2.0 @x8 the rate is 4000MB/s, in easy words, that means the speed of the communication of ur GPU with ur mobo.

For the RAM u shouldn't be worried, because if u buy 1600 RAM u can enter to the BIOS and enter all the specifications of ur RAM for run it a 1600
