So far, I've overclocked it up to 3.5Ghz with stock settings. I can't go any further with stock settings, it literally won't let me. I have 250 bus speed. I'm running a Kuhler H2O 920 Water cooling kit.

So my problem is this:

In my mobo's Bios (Asus M3A78-EM, 02.61 AMI) I have no options for directly editing voltage or lowering NB speed. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can overclock further?

Might be as far as your chip can go, I can't get mine past 3.5.

I have read that turning off 2 cores to overclock 4 can reduce heat and help make a bit more headway. have not tried it though.

from what I have read it says from cores 0,1,2,3,4,5 you shut off 2 and 3 which are the cores in the middle of your chipset are what get the hottest. Could be something to look into if you are doing the OC for gaming and not something that needs all 6 cores

I had forgotten about this. Still having the problem. It's not an issue of heat. I have plenty of overhead for it. My Bios seems to have no option for changing voltage. Should I flash it? Or what?
