One of my floppies won't read. It's not the A drive, because other floppies can be read.
I really need to salvage the data from this floppy (and stop using floppies!!! I heard the new computers don't even HAVE A drives. T/F?) True and some don't have CD drive either
A neighborhood computer place said they "don't have the tools" to do the data recovery.
Anybody know what they mean? There is data recovery software like RECUVA to recover deleted files - don't think it works on a: drive, but it might ! Floppy media will deteriorate over time
And have any suggestions how to recover this data? You might bring up a command prompt and run chkdsk on the drive chkdsk a: /r
