Upgrading from XP Home to XP Professional

You have a couple of options.
It is always a good idea to do a complete backup before doing any major
upgrade or install.
Disconnect all hardware, including internal zip drives before beginning the
upgrade to cut down the chances of problems.

Here is one option if you have a cd burner.
You can use the slipstream utility called nLite to make you a copy of XP Pro
w/SP2.

You will then be able to use the same cd in each puter as long as you have 2
different licenses (key codes).

Another option
Follow the upgrade path and then do your Windows Updates after you have
completed the upgrade.
Start the computer put the CD in the ROM drive then choose install then
choose Upgrade, not Full Install.
No need to uninstall SP2 before beginning.
