Win7 startmenu search problem

whenever i try to search for a program in my startmenu, this is all i see



i dont have a clue how yo fix this issue.


creating a new account wont work neither will deleting the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\FolderTypes\{ef87b4cb-f2ce-4785-8658-4ca6c63e38c6}"

Can u go to the system restore and restore to time before this happened? After u run te virus scans, to be sure that your PC is pest free?


no virus


its been like this for a long time, i have been busy the last year and forgot about it


i have 0 system restore points

i dont usually have much faith in them and just use a full system image.


no viruses on pc, i recently got one that was reinfecting my pc and i scanned with about 10 differnet antiviruses after i got rid of it

(im a little paranoid about keeping pc clean)

Well, re-image than... Easy solution.
