All i can see of my task manager is cpu usage and history

Hello,
I'm running windows xp sp3 pro and whenever i try to run task manager there is no title bar options processes or any thing! just usage and history of the cpu. Now i can't stop process if my laptop becomes stupid. PLEASE HELP!!!
