They seem exactly the same except one has a more stylish heatsink. What's with the 20 dollar difference? I'm thinking of going with the ripjaw model to save 20 bucks! Anyone know anything I don't? They both got very decent reviews. More about : difference gskill ddr3 models gracefully February 1, 2010 12:30:56 PM The ripjaw has a bigger heatsink, to better dissipate heat. That's where your extra $20 goes to. Otherwise, yes. You are correct in saying they are exactly the same. mfarrukh February 1, 2010 12:34:03 PM The RipJaws offer a bigger heatsink. That's why I was kinda baffled at the price difference when everything else is exactly the same (except for the heatsink). The whole thing seems weird to me, maybe the more expensive ones are just a slightly older model and these Ripjaws are replacing it, don't know. mfarrukh February 1, 2010 12:52:51 PM RipJaws are better, no matter what there prices are glowyrm February 1, 2010 1:11:53 PM I realize that, but when the better product is the cheaper product, my skeptic flags go wayyyy up lol. From what I have read, some people are saying the 105 dollar ones have a better voltage range, that would lend them to OCing a little better. People have OCed the Ripjaws of course too. Fishy stuff, these companies and their so many similar models! I'm going with the 85 dollar Ripjaws either way, I'm on a budget mfarrukh February 1, 2010 1:15:39 PM Budget is a life-time problem Any way, I don't think you are gonna overclock the RAM, right?
