Hello,

I OC my cpu by only increasing the multiplier to 22.0 because I have BE but it became unstable my computer keeps crashing and rebooting after I run prime95 1 minute but computer stop crashing and rebooting when i set Vcore to 1.60v+

and I also had to change the memory timings from 9-9-9-24 to 7-7-7-22 to keep it stable only for running but it failed in prime95, it crashes in 1-2 mins.

Sys spec:
Motherboard: Asus M4A87TD Evo
Ram: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory
Video Card: XFX 6970 2gb
CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Deneb 3.7GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
CPU cooler: Corsair H60
Power supplier: OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W

And finally my temps are normal 36C idle and 48 full load

I see.
I think the issue comes from the memory timings
for some reason it gets unstable whenever i increase the multiplier from 18.5 stock ratio. but one thing i dont understand is why my ram gets unstable even tho i'm not increasing the fsb ?? andd i really need help with setting the memory timings .

the max OC on the X4 980 is 4.2Ghz.Just by using the multiplyer(in my case),Have read many reviews/forums and 4.2 seems to be its limit,No matter what Voltages, timings etc....

Not sure why you need to OC that much, seeing that even stock it wont even come close to bottlenecking your 6970,Even running my crossfire 6950's(stock and at 6970 speeds)The 980 and my current 1100T,both cards Avg 90- 100% in BF3.
