Upgrade bios

Hello,
My motherboard is Intel P4 american megatrends during the process of installing sound driver suddenly it rebooted repeatedly as a result no sound driver is installed.

A bios upgrade won't help. You have a ram or power supply issue. First, reset the bios by removing the board battery for about one minute with the system off. Then try just one stick of ram at a time, and see if you can get to windows to run memtest, a free download. For the sound driver, just go to the device manager under "system" and check for disabled sound devices. You can let windows update the driver for you, or try the original cd driver from the motherboard.
