Presario v6000 ram upgrade

I want to know if its possible to upgrade from 2GB ram to 4GB (or any upgrade) with a Presario V6000. If so can anyone give me any advice on what part to get and where from?

Maximum memory per slot is 1GB. If you need 4GB you'll have to buy a new laptop.

Maximum memory per slot is 2GB, according to the Phoenix Bios on the Quanta 30B7 V.65.2C motherboard specs.

Compaq lists max ram at 2GB, but the board will actually do 4GB.

I bought the fastest G.Skill 2x2GB ram I could get. It feels like a new machine.

Lemme know the HP product number. Usually, the series specs says that 2G is the max but it can differ with models and with different BIOS version. You can find the product number beneath the laptop or inside the battery compartment. Should look like RQ766AA#ABA
