This is my post on the forum and I have to admit that I know relatevley little about PC.

My questions is this: I want to buy a new external hard drive (1T) with a USB 3.O CONFIGURATION BUT i'M NOT SURE WHO THE "Majore PLAYERS" ARE. i'D ASSUME, AT THE LEAST IT WOULD INCLUDE, SEAGATE AND WESTERN DIGITAL BUT i KNOW THERE ARE ANY MORE

i'VE JUST BEGN TO LOOK AT THE REVIEWS BUT i WOULD TRUST USERS MORE SO THAN THE LABS.

iN ANY CASE, i DO HAVE i HAVE TWO pci eXPRESS CARDS ON THE MOHTERBOARd AND i THINK i'D HAVE TO REPLACE ONE OF THEM WITH THE SUPERSPEED 3.pci EXRESS CARD.

i'VE BEEN LOOKING AT THE WESTERN Digital "My Book Essential" USB 3.0, the Seagate FreeAgent® GoFlex™ Desk External Drive. Andy other suggestions would be welcomed .

Which one did you end up getting? I was looking at the 1.5t My book. I'm hearing that the backup software is junk what have your results been?
