Generic memory?

I just purchased some G skill ddr2 1000mhz memory with a cas latency of 5, my motherboard holds up to 8gb, the g skill is two+two sticks for a total of 4 gigs, well my question is should I pull all the generic memory and just use the g skill for a total of 4 gigs or run the g skill with the generic which would put me at 6gb but I would be running at lower speed of the generic memory right?

1- Yeah, if u put the 6GB ur RAM would be running at the lower speed.
2- I would stay with the 4GB, are more that enough for games and applications.

Your memory will always run at the slowest speed, the slowest one being the bottleneck.
