What is this Boot Problem?

Hi

for some days I have to re attach my HDD wires, even they are firmly attached but if I press them or reattach them then they don't show any problem
my PC works fine

and on other hand this doesn't run my windows or hangs while working (these days sometimes)
Before that I used to reattach my mouse only
Can a power supply unit causes this problem?
If everything working fine most of the time so I am confuse to say if its mother board problem, may be a symptom
If its motherboard problem then can I use my core 2 duo cpu with any latest motherboard with DDR3 RAM ?

So can any body guess what problem I am facing and why?

your hard drive cable seems to be a problem
get a new one

My mouse port do the same problem,its light goes off and mouse stops working
then I reattach it then it works fine (I have checked with other mouse too) But strange thing is Keyboard works fine with both port
well I did check this months ago

HDD is doing for some days, now I am going to change my smps and chassis
I was thinking Motherboard ports getting corrupt.
