Ata-100 to usb external case

I have a fujitsu MHT02040AH hard drive, 2.5" from a Dell D600 laptop, and want to put it in an external enclosure with USB. It has an ATA-6 internal interface. Will an enclosure with an IDE interface work? If yes, what do you suggest I purchase? If not, what will? Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, ATA-6 and IDE are basically one in the same. My only recommendation is to make sure the enclosure supports the capacity of your hard drive.
