Upgrading power supply for dell inspiron 545s

A good quality 500W will do the job
Get any of the following:
OCZ, Corsair, SilverStone, Antec

Get a Corsair 400CX.It will handle the 9800GT very well(I have a 9800GT on the same PSU)...

But my cpu is too small and thin as compared to normal, Would it be able to hold this new power supply and nvidia 9800? I am using dell inspiron 545s.....cheers

I think it will fit.
Just take the dimensions of a normal PSU and compare with your Case's dimension.

Many ppl upgrade Dell PSUs with other PSU.

Inspiron 545s, the "s" meaning slim, still think the Corsair will fit ?

I think this low profile card will do. The review of this card says i have to get an external power booster, now what the hell is that? Is it gonna work fine, i mean would i be able to play games like cod4, far cry, res evil 5 in max settings? plz tell me if an upgrade is required in my configuration....i am using xp service pack 2....3GB ram,320GB hd,core 2 duo processor... A intel(R) g33/g31 express chipset family,gma 3100 chip type....i don't know much about p.c gaming so thanks once again for your rep.......cheers.....

The external booster pack is a graphics card power supply that fits in a drive bay, the 9800 requires a 6 pin power cable that the lower wattage psu's don't have.

You don't have tha spare drive bay for it.
I used those links in my first post more as example's of what you need , than reccomendations.

a new p.c coz i can't have this in that bloody tin hole. I
will have some money by this weekend about $400, I need a
good gaming system.will that do? if not plz give me an approx
