My specs:
intel pentium dual core E2140
2 gb ram
9800gtx+ 512mb video card
Will the performence increase if i upgrade my processor to intel core i5-750
Will 450$ be enough to upgrade my cpu and motherboard
I can run Crysis in high settings and i get about 10 to 40 fps average 23 fps it doesent go below 15 fps and when i run gta 4 i get 13 to 35 fps
average fps = 21 anyway the both games are playable
if i upgrade my processor will i at least get a 5fps boost in crysis and gta 4

wow, 21fps is far from playable. You would definitely see an improvement by getting the i5 750, but you would also have to upgrade your motherboard and ram.

Which Pentium Dual core?
Maybe your RAM is bottlenecking(Its only 2 GB)...

I would suggest the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600. It is mentioned in the manual for your computer.
When changing CPU, always power down and unplug, discharge static by grounding yourself. Never force anything. Carefully remove the heat sink and fan, release the processor and remove it. Insert the new processor, apply thermal compound , reinstall the heatsink and button up the case. :non:  :non:

An i5 should increase your frames and should be obtainable with $450. The chip will run you $200 and 4gb of ram will run you $100 so you would have $150 to pick out a good board. There are cheaper ways to go if you want to put out $370 instead that will yield the same results but the i5 is a good chip.

You will notice a huge difference.
Do you OC? If yes then 750 is the best option.
You'll need 4GB RAM.

$450 will be enough.

You should also take into consideration the Phenom II 955 coupled with a 4Gb memory that is on the same level as the i5 750 as far as gaming goes and at a lower price ( due to the fact that AM3 motherboards tend to be cheaper then the 1156 socket motherboards ). Not to forget that later on you can upgrade to an Phenom II X6.

I don't know what MB you have but if you could OC your current processor to 3.0 to 3.2 ghz you would get a boost in frames. If not you can always pick up a dual or quad 775 and run it at 3.0 ghz or above, it would be much cheaper than building an entirely new system and should last you for quite a while. See link for E2140 overclocking.

The pentium dual cores are still cheap. They are not skyrocketing in prices. So i say go ATLEAST e5200 . And even if u do get it OC it, they OC GREAT
