LogMeIn causes desktop screen to shift

I recently set up LogMeIn on a new computer with windows 7. After accessing the machine from another in our office network to test, I logged out to find my host machines desk top screen display had shifted about 2 inches to the left so that the "start" button (and several of my icons) were not visible. I had to re-establish the remote connection in order to 're-start' the host machine and get my display back. Any ides how to avoid this in future. I am using the trial version of the "Pro". I also opted out of downloading the optional LogMeIn optimizer for the remote machine which is running XP.
