Ati 4670 and 4970 in crossfire problems

I have a phenom II procesor on an MSI GD-79 motherboard and 2 ati cards in crossfire.In the catalist control i only see 1 ati plugged in and no crosfire arow displayed like other configs with crossfire.And in games the same pls help me.I have the latest drivers and tried dual bridge on the video cards.I am running on an vista ultimate 64bit and xp professional 32 bit OS same probblem in both.

1) There is no such thing as an HD4970 (I assume you meant the HD4870)
2) According to ATI's Crossfire Compatibility Chart, you can only crossfire an HD4870 with another HD4870 or an HD4870x2. You can only crossfire an HD4670 with another HD4670.

If you have a second monitor, you can use the HD 4670 to drive that monitor.


1. Keep it as backup.
2. Sell it.
