hardwre monitor in bios shows normal

my hardware monitor in the bios shows my +12v rail at 12.06 and speedfan and cpuid hardware monitor report it at 10.64v.i am running windows 7 64bit.which is more accurate?

Are you sure your not reading -12v from cpuid at 10.64 this is pretty common. There should be a seperate reading for 12v as well unless you have a demo version that arbitrarily doesn't show all data.

yes i am.i switched to another ( the third) power supply that has good power rails on one of my other computers.all three power supplies report good +12volt values in the bios but in speed fan and cpuid hardware monitor all three power supplies report the same value of 10.56 volts.i have built a lot of systems but have never seen this problem.i am leaning toward a windows 7 glitch and not the bios.
