Hey guys, I was just wondering if this power supply would fit in my case.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I have an Acer e380 and this is my specification but mine is 2.5 ghz

And also will 9800 gtx on my system if the power supply hopefully fits? Thanks.

It will fit but i certainly wouldnt use it, its an old design with passive power factor correction, and low efficiency so its going to generate quite a bit of additional heat. A higher quality unit will last you much longer and be able to support stronger cards in the future, but will cost you a bit more but a PSU is an investment in a part you will be able to keep for 5 or more years.

the 550W unit i linked will support any single GPU card, the BFG one might stress itself a bit with some of the stronger cards but would suffice for a 9800GTX+/GTS250.

Antec 300 is 18" deep, so shouldn't be an issue on your case at 17.91".

This OZC unit 700MXPS is decent and has 3yr warranty. Combo with the GTS 250 1gb:

With that acer case, I'd be sure to get a dual slot GPU design so as much heat as possible gets dumped out the back instead of inside the case.

Thanks guys. I ended up buying 5770 and CoolMaster 600 watt. I love it.
another question since i don't want to start a new thread, On my Acer e380, i have AMD athlon 64 Dual core processor 4800+ 2.5 Ghz. can i just take it out and replace it with phenom http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... right away without any problems since my motherboard supports AMD?

Regardless of what the mobo supports, you'll have to check with Acer and see what CPUs the bios supports. They write the bios, and generally only include a few for that line they plan to offer to keep cost down and planned obsolescence.

I guess i did some searching, and my current mobo
Main Circuit Board-
Board: Acer EM61SM/EM61PM
Bus Clock: 201 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD R01-B1 12/29/2006

doesn't support AM2+ and AM3's. Now i'm really planning to get a amd mobo. Do you have any suggestion which will fit on my case because i'm totally unsure what kind of tower my case is. Thank you so much.

I just found out that my case is a mini tower form factor. Does that mean that ATX or Micro ATX will fit in my case?
