Hi all,

I need to test a Thinkpad before I can buy it,
and I'm wondering what suggestions people have for doing that.

For a long time I've powered up with F1 down to get to the
BIOS tests. Those are good, but recently I tried a system
that died permanently shortly after passing all those tests.

I also recently tested a system that passed all the F1 tests
but then when I started it up, I noticed sometimes it reported
96 megs RAM (the actual amount), sometimes 64.

Can anyone point me to a good program for testing a
Thinkpad or any laptop?

Thanks.

The best programs for testing any computer are
the applications one is planning to run on it.
