More about which give performance core
  1. Windows xp can use core i7 although windows 7, as others are saying, uses multi cores/threaded cpus much more effectively than xp.
  2. XP has a core0 bias and bounces threads among cores. Win7 is the best MS OS for multi-core by a lot.
  3. Windows 7 Ultimate...

    It has the word "Ultimate" so it must be the best and fastest.

    Dude, just go with what you are most comfortable with or what offers you the best features.

    - Got Windows XP already and wanna save some money? ==>> Stick with XP.

    - Yer a gamer and you want DX10 / DX11? ==>> Go with Win 7.

    - Running a lot of 32-bit business related software in Win XP? ==>> Win XP

    - Running a lot of 32-bit business related software, but want a newer / prettier interface? ==>> Win 7 Pro so you can up the Win XP Mode application (not really for games)
  4. I'd recommend W7 over XP because W7 has 64bit and XP's unofficial 64bit is not as stable.

    W7 also has better multicore support, and you can run XP mode in windows7.
  5. Unofficial?
  6. MAC OSX!!!

    no i would back up the Win7 OS

    you get speed and stability in it
