VGA Cooling Question

Hey TH,

What is the best cooling solution for a Radeon HD 7950?

I had my eye on: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186064&Tpk=arctic%20cooling%207950 but it's a bit pricey.

Are there any (air) coolers that can give good cooling for that card at a reasonable price?

The best cooling solution for the 7950 is a full face water block like this however you have to have the rest of a water cooling system to use it.

If you are stuck air cooling what you linked is a good choice, you get what you pay for, regarding cooling.

That is a good cooler and a good price, the problem with those type coolers are they are heavy and do not support the full face of the card like a water block does, meaning over time they can cause warping of the card.

You have to do whatever your budget allows you to do, that's the bottomline, are you having overheating problems?

Have you tried using a utility that will allow increasing your fan speed on the card?
