Printer computer don't talk to each other, not a driver problem

Hello,

For months I have tried to get my computer to print. I first thought I needed a new , updated driver, but when I tried to load a new driver it says I have the most current driver available. Now it says directory service is unavailable. I have an HP Pvillion Media Center and and an HP Officejet 7210. They have worked fine for many years. Now they won't talk to each other...kind of like a divorce! Don't see a catagory that matches it.

try uninstalling your printer software and drivers, then run the installation software from the manufacturer.
