Hello,
In my Dell Studio Laptop DVD-RW is slot loading. But now I wanna replace by Blu-ray RW.
Is it possible to change this?

Yes but you will need to get inside your laptop.

Ive had a look on the dell website, if you go to the support section choose your model and then manual from the left hand side, download the service manual and extract the zip file, open the index file.

If you go to optical drive, it has instructions on how to remove the old drive and reinstall a new one.

If you have one of the new studio 17s it looks like any standard sata slimline slotloading drive will work, you need to strip the adapters off you old drive and attach them to the new one.

I've got a Studio 15 (1537) and for the life of me can't find a replacement optical drive. It is also slot loading. It has no bezel or external eject button (the 'bezel' is the entire side of the laptop). I was told a drive with an external eject button will therefore not work. Is this true?
