7870 Xfire number of 6 pin connectors?

Hi guys,

I am looking to pick up a 7870 with a crossfire compatible board. Hopefully pick up a second card later. Just a quick question. I am also planning to pick up a new PSU and budget wise I am looking at the Corsair TX650. Link below:

This should be enough as I have checked on the page below and power requirements will match. Link again below.

I am concerned about the number of 6 pin connectors. Does the TX650 have enough pins? I am looking for a Corsair PSU as warranty for them is brilliant in our country.

Any help would be brilliant.

Thanks in advance.

The TX750 has two 6pin cables and two six plus two cables, you will have enough,
the TX650 only has two six plus two so that won't be sufficient
bear in mind that different manufactureres sometimes use different pcb's, so the sapphire 6950 may need two 6 pins, but the Asus one might need a 6 and 8 pin, you won't know what you need until you choose a specific card

The TX650 is capable of powering 2x 7870's.
It only has 2 6-pins, however you could just use an adapter for the 2nd 7870.
The PSU is extremely good and stable, why spend more on the TX750?

Hey thats exactly was I wondering about.

What kind of adapters? I know that the 650 is more then sufficient. In fact I have seen links with people using a modular 650W and running two 7870's easily.

Could you please assist? It would be very grateful. I simply cant effort to sell and resell again. This is a one time buy.

Thanks a lot for the answer. I am looking at the Sapphire GHz edition. It has two 6 pin connections.
