the gts 250 is $20 more but has 1GB memory as opposed to the 9800's 512MB. Are there any other differences?
*EDIT* Also, does anyone know if they both use 450W power supplies?

The GTS250 is the 9800GTX+ which is just a 9800GTX with higher clock frequencies. Other than that they are architecturally identical, and their power requirements are the same. The amount of video memory you need is really determined by the resolution you are going to play at, up to 1680x1050 512MB is fine, at 1920x1080 you need 1GB.

The 9800GTX+ also was the 55nm die shrink and it runs much cooler than the 9800GTX.
