Windows can not open files files need to know what program created it

windows can not open files rundll32.exe to open the file, windows need to know what program created it were do i find this infomation how do i fix this problem

sounds a bit like some virus has infected the pc. is it the same with all files or just some

have a look at this might help .bat file that resets file associations to windows default but have never tryed it came across it the other week wile trying to fix aproblem with realplayer and mp3's

Those .bat files do work - just have to be careful which ones you use !
