would this Processor work in a acer m1610 Pentium dual core e5300 it has a e2140 in now and has same fsb 800mhz and 65 watt same and you know what I bought it off newegg and it wont boot the pc and I dont under stand why when it can hold a core 2 duo with 800mhz fsb any answers it really bothers me this aint working for me

the e5300 is a 45nm processor.

I would tend to look for a 65nm 800mhz processor as this board uses a SIS chipset and they are not as forgiving as a Intel one.

Contact Acer and ask for a CPU support list for that model and bios. Only way to be sure before buying.

its a Sis chip set..
