would this Processor work in a acer m1610 Pentium dual core e5300 it has a e2140 in now and has same fsb 800mhz and 65 watt same and you know what I bought it off newegg and it wont boot the pc and I dont under stand why when it can hold a core 2 duo with 800mhz fsb any answers it really bothers me this aint working for me

  1. the e5300 is a 45nm processor.

    I would tend to look for a 65nm 800mhz processor as this board uses a SIS chipset and they are not as forgiving as a Intel one.

  2. Contact Acer and ask for a CPU support list for that model and bios. Only way to be sure before buying.
  3. Try updating to the latest bios with the old processor in.

    its not 45nm compatible..

    its a Sis chip set..
