I'm looking to build a HTPC and my chosen case can only take low profile PCI cards.

I'm not really a massive gamer but would like the HTPC to have some decent power as I'd like it to double as a standard pc when i need to use it for more demanding tasks, such as video editing/processing (hence the i5 and overclocking)

i am planning on upgrading the graphics in the near future with perhaps this card - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11192-18-20G-HD6670-Profile-Graphics/dp/B0062CHLYI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335054357&sr=8-1 but for the meanwhile i should get by with on board graphics.

I'm looking to run a dual display set up, both monitors @ 1080p just not sure whether on board graphics is capable of this?

I see. Well the integrated graphics on the 2500k do support dual monitor however I'm not sure about resolutions or 1080p. I'm not very into that stuff. Maybe someone else can give you an answer

Thanks for your feedback.

Well my intentions were to use on board graphics until I had enough money to buy the 6670. I'm struggling to find out whether on board graphics can Support a dual display set up @ 1080p :??:

What are the advantages of these boards to justify the 20% price increase?
I.e do they provide 20% more features?

It has a more advanced chipset and probably more features. If you really need them is another question. You can compare them and see if you prefer the cheaper one
