Can anybody here help me network my printers? I have my dsl router all set
up, and I can wirelessly access the internet, I can even detect the printers
on my main computer, but I can't seem to print on those printers. When I
select the printer hooked up to the main computer, the computer I am
printing from (which is connected wirelessly) makes like it is printing, but
it doesn't. I also can't access the printing properties from the wirelessly
connected computers. If there is a better newgroup for this question, please
advise.
Thanks,
Richard

Hi,

This is not a pure laptop question, so there might be othe rusefule
groups, however neither of us can help if you don't provide enough
details like:1) how is your network set up, do you have a router, how
are the other PC's connected, which printers and OS are we talking
about. At this stage things are to vague ...

For a simple home network and a "normal" printer,
You usually need the printer *driver* for the printer installed on the
computer you are trying print from, as well as the one it is physically
attached to.

I have three computers on the network. One (the main one) is connected via
ethernet cable to the linksys wireless router. The other two are connected
wirelessly. All computers are running windows xp home, and the printers are
an HP 920c and Canon i960.
Thanks,
Richard
