I was looking to sell my 4890 clocked at 950/1110 for $150 and and put $150 more and buy a 5850, and then pick up a 22" 1080p monitor. But then I kinda figured the 5850 wouldnt be that much of a performance jump over my 4890 and I'd rather put the money towards a 26" 1920 x 1200 monitor. Note I am upgrading from an old acer 19" 1280 x 1024 monitor with several dead pixels :D. Anyways what would the best option in your opinion?

sounds good, but I actually think my 4890 will handle the res fine. I hope atleast. Anyways the only game I tihnk it would struggle on is crysis, but I havent touched it after I beat it like 2 years ago... I play heroes of newerth, tf2, age of conan, zombie panic, company of heroes, cod 5. Probably will play diablo 3 and star craft2, and obviously these games arent very demanding. Also wouldnt it be better to add another 4890 then pay for a 5870??

anyways Which 2 monitors would be better.

Yeah, before the HD 5870 it was almost impossible to play any game at 1920 x 1200 resolution. :sarcastic: :sarcastic: :sarcastic:

But wouldnt the 24" look better because its the same ammount of pixels at a lower screen size, so there's a better pixel density? And out of those monitors which one is best (or if you have any other suggestions?)

Bigger is always better, heh. It might be a concern if you were comparing 15" to 26" screens at 800x600, but I find more real estate at the same quality and resolution looks better. I guess it also depends on how far away you sit from your monitor, and if have the room to change that distance if needed.

I had to as I don't have the room for a 24" screen, so did my mother for the same reason.
