Task bar return to horizontal position

Windows XP task bar went from horizonalt position at bottom of screen to vertical on right of screen.

Clicking "Tile Windows Horizontally" has no effect and I cannot change position of task bar by dragging with the mouse.

I have no idea how I made task bar go horizontal; I certainly did not make a selection from a menu.

You need to grab it with your mouse and drag it down and to the left or right, depending which side of the screen it's on now.

thanks for your suggestion, but no can do. the task bar vertical along the right aide of the screen. i want to return it to a horizontal position across the bottom of the screen. dragging doesn't work. windows xp pro.
