We're having issues sending out zip files for customers. We've been using 7zip. The issue we're having is that those using the Windows OS are okay but, those trying to download the zips onto their assorted Apple products such as ipods, iphones etc are having trouble.

Is there a zip that works well and is compatible with all systems? We're still using Windows XP for now until we get our new computer.

windows XP has basic zip capabilities built in. just right click on a file or folder, choose compress and viola a zip file. try creating a zip file like this on your windows computer and see if the mac will read it.

Does the newer Windows 7 OS have better or more zip capabilities built-in?

Is 7zip okay or should we be using something else?

The latest OSX Reads ZIP files natively, whereas older included applications used StuffIT expander, .SIT extensions. Also on macs, they use Maczip, as windows uses winzip.
