Is it really worth the extra £33?

the xxx edition is xfx's factory overclocked version, were the memory is 4500mhz and the core is 755mhz

Standard 5850's have 4000mz memory and 725mhz core

Although the xxx edition is not in stock, just wanted to know if any of you guys have overclocked your cards to around or above these speeds without any problems? Heat? Power? etc...

Thanks

Often times XFX will change the heatsink/fan on the XXX cards, and the GPU's themselves have been selected from the best stock.

This means if your already into overclocking, you're guaranteed a better performing chip and cooling solution than a stock graphics card.

Could you overclock a basic card to those specs? More than likely. Could you overclock a basic card as high as you can overclock an XXX model? Probably not.

Thought so, found everything cheaper at dabs.com, with free delivery, saving around £40 in total.

They'v said 5850's will be back in stock on 12 December, so not long to go, but the wait is killing meh!
