Hello,

New HTPC build using:
* Asus m4a78t-m mobo
* AMD Athlon II X3 400e Triple Core 45W CPU
* Kingston KVR1333D3N9/1G Ram (x2)

The board powers up and the CPU and case fans are spinning, but I'm getting no video signal at all from the onboard graphics. I've tried DVI and analog cables.

The case, a Lian Li PC-C37, has no speaker that I can see, so I've no idea if the board might be beeping or not.

I've tried clearing the CMOS by moving the jumper, as described in the manual, but no help.

I'm completely stuck!

Thank you, sir!

Number 1 on the list: hadn't connected the CPU power. Oddly enough, that step is not in the mobo manual. Go figure.

Still, I have video now, so thanks again.

That was the first thing that came to mind. Its easy to miss and it fit the symptoms perfectly. Figured the link would be better in the long run though. Glad it worked out for you.

I made the same mistake on my first build years ago. It was a 4 pin burried in a corner. I felt do dumb 6 hours later when I finally spotted it.
