I just bought a Kingston HyperX SSD 240gb drive for my computer. My mobo only supports sata 2, which is 3.0.

The sequential read/writes is estimated to be 525/480 for sata 3 connections.

I understand that there will be a decreased performance for having it downgraded to 2.0 but here are my results for CDM 3.0.1 x64

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.1 x64 (C) 2007-2010 hiyohiyo

Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 57.769 MB/s [ 14103.7 IOPS]

--------------------Seems kind of low to me for read/writes. Here are the results for my Barracude 1TB HDD

---------------------I know the numbers for everything else just blow the barracuda away, but the read and writes aren't too far off.

Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks.

did you find out what is the problem? I have a sata II system and was considering to get this drive but I'm not sure now after reading your benchmark results.
