Hello,I have a Dell desktop that's about ten years old, and originally had a 3 gb hard drive. Today I took it put and put in an 80gb drive from another computer. It was also an IDE or whatever as well and fit erfectly. However, when I started the computer, the Dell loading window showed, then a black screen with a white cursor at the top left appeared. I can't press anything to any effect, and when I press a key, the computer beeps. I went to the setup menu at startup, and I saw no problems, as the hard drive was recognized and the hard drive was positioned as first to start at bootup. I've tried everything, please help

did you do a fresh install of windows on the new hard disk? You can not simply move a windows install from one computer to another.
