Sorry, I Did some checking for the right sys specs.
Does this change any thing?

Dell xps 600,
Processor, DualCore Intel Pent D 830 3000MHz (15X200),
Mobo Dell DXG051
PCI 32-bit 3ghz
PCI Express x1 and x16.
Graphic, 256, 7800, GTX UHMGA13
650-W DC power supply.
Dell 20" 2005FPW 125 x1024

Would like to up-grade with something in the gxt275 or radeon hd 4750 range.
Need advice on best bang for the buck$

Thanks

I agree. That's quite an old setup.
Pentium 4... yikes.

If you're gonna be upgrading anything, you'll probably need to upgrade it all. All the Phenoms are very inexpensive right now. You could get a solid setup for under $400 with the hardware you already have.

Hey folks, consider it a video upgrade awaiting the rest of the hardware... At least he's not asking for AGP! The 275GTX may draw too much current for the power supply you have, making the 4750 a more appropriate upgrade for now.
