My desktop will not play audio in the front port

My desktop will not play audio from the front port but will play from the back port of my computer. I do seem to hear a little bit of static but there is no actual sound.

Have you actually checked if the front port is connected to the motherboard?

This is usually when the pront audio port is not connected up to the motherboard yet. All you have to do is open the case, look at the front area for the audio cable, and plug it in on your motherboard.

If your not familiar with working inside a computer I recommend you get someone who knows how to do it or to get the manual of your motherboard. It will show you where on the motherboard the connector for the audio wire is.
