PCI express vs. PCI express 2.0

I have a Gigabyte P35-DS3L mobo which does not support 2.0 and would like to upgrade my GeForce 8400GS. How much of a performance hit will I take if I run the newer Radeon cards which support PCIE 2.0?

Assuming your PCI-E slot is 1.0 x16, you will see very little (< 1FPS) decreases.
