What happens if you don't install the chipset drivers?

Solution
You should always download and install the latest drivers from the MB manufacturers website. Only the MB manufacturer knows the ins and out of their product. Often time newer drivers resolve conflicts or bugs. It's also very important if you're using an older OS. It's all about timing. As an example how could Microsoft write drivers for a board that is produced in 2010 in an OS that was written in 2002? Hardware specific drivers is always the first thing I install after a clean install of the OS.
