    Or even this...

    CPU + Mobo
    X3 720 + Gigabyte 790GX
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.295032

    RAM
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303

OS + Case with PSU -
    WIN 7 + Antec Sonata III 500W
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.282581

Graphic card - That HD 4890 that batuchka listed is a very good one...Or this is - A good DirectX 11 card that still would suffice for your needs
    HD 5770

HDD - I would go with a more faster HDD -
    Samsung F3
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181&Tpk=samsung%20f3%20500

BD - If you need one...

  2. CPU, Mobo, PSU, Case and HD

What do you think about this setup?

Some RAM, GPU and a BD would make it complete from what I understand.

    Thanks for the responses!
  3. ^ Why would you want to buy a LGA 775 based CPU when its at EOL...
  4. I would rather buy this combo -
Far more powerful CPU and Crossfire capable AM3 mobo...
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.296118
  5. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.293283

Would this combo with the either GPU suggested fit the bill? It seems to cover all the bases.
  6. That combo doesn't impress me. I don't see why you would build around AM2+ and DDR2 RAM. It also uses a slow "Green" drive.

My work blocks the images that batuchka posts, so I can't see what he recommended. An AM3 build that uses DDR3 RAM would be the best in your price range. gkay09's suggestions are good.
