Hello,

i owe a Toshiba Satellite S2450 (S2450-201 OR PS245E)

something similar to :
http://www.toshiba-dm.com/cgi-bin/ [...] odels.html

Today when i turned on the computer i got:

"Check System. Then press [F1] to continue."

Nothing more, nothing less. and upon pressing any button,
the computer makes a beep. (not even F1 works.just a beep)

What can i do? What could be broken? Any
suggestion/clue/anything is much appreciated.
I'm totaly locked here.

regards,
kave

Try reseating or replacing your memory chip. One beep often means the BIOS
can't read your ram.

Your ESC key is either stuck down, had something spilled in it or just has
failed. Holding down the ESC key while powering up is the way into the BIOS
setup on all Toshiba built models (not Compal built) and the "F1" message is
what normally comes up when you do that.

Good luck,
me/2
