Hello All,
Is there any reason why SSDs can't be slotted directly into the motherboard. Not current boards, obviously, but what are the advantages and disadvantages to such an approach?

You can buy an SSD like the OCZ RevoDrive that's inserted in a PCIe slot. Integrating an SSD directly isn't a good solution because if something fails, then the whole motherboard would have to be replaced.
